Ground rosehip peel
Rosehip shells are an excellent feed supplement for horses and rodents. With their many revitalizing substances, rosehips can revive a tired circulation,
provide new energy in cases of exhaustion, and mobilize the body's own defenses.
However, the valuable ingredients are mainly found in their bright red skin. Incidentally, lycopene—bound to the red pigment in the fruit—is responsible for this vibrant color.
.
A tasty variety for your pet:
The calcium contained in rose hips, together with the abundant vitamin C and the flavonoid rutin, can strengthen the gums, but one aspect of rose hips, which is also based on
the rutin they contain, is the strengthening of blood vessels and the promotion of blood circulation.
Not to be forgotten is the positive effect on the metabolism—rose hips stimulate it, and so the skin and coat also benefit from the red fruits.
Ground rosehip shells can be added to the feed of horses, dogs, and cats, as well as rabbits and guinea pigs, and should be offered as a spring cure and to
stabilize the immune system during the winter coat change. Senior animals in particular benefit from the revitalizing effect of rosehips. Rose hips can also be considered for psychological strain
and stress, as well as for dogs in heat.
